HOW WE WORK?

Most projects begin at the design phase and at Interiors By Darren James we offer this service at the highest level. Our award-winning Designers will work with you to turn the project into an atheistic, practical and successful interior design. Our design team pride themselves on their continuing professional development and in-depth training ensuring they produce better living environments for today s lifestyle.

INITITAL CONSULTATION

Make an appointment with a Designer to discuss your requirements in our studio office. Bring along your plans and or room dimensions.

OR

Make an appointment for one of our Designers to visit your home, take measurements and discuss your requirements.

If you are renovating an existing premise, it is usually beneficial for our designer to conduct an initial site visit, to get a feel for your space and gain accurate measurements. For new projects we are able to design off your drafted house plans.

By talking with you we will establish your individual requirements for the space, the function of the room, layout options, aesthetics, your must haves, your wish list and your approximate budget, Appliances and finishes will be discussed to enable the design process to commence, but no final decisions are required at this stage.

The design fee associated with this service is a small portion of your cost, easily recovered from a superior design focused on form and function.

DESIGN PRESENTATION

In our studio office we will present our preliminary proposal with drawings and specifications. We will explain our thinking behind our design and present our concepts and recommendations. Following this appointment the design is further developed and any necessary alterations and modifications are made.

Prior to providing the final quotation, all drawings and specifications including finishes, fixtures and Appliances are finalised. A site meeting with other relevant trades may be required to establish costs associated with the project.

PLACING THE ORDER

Your final drawings, a detailed quotation including a complete specification schedule and scope of works for the project are then issued. To confirm your order we require completion of a BSA approved contract, approval and sign off, of all drawings and specifications as well as an initial deposit of 5-10% depending on the total project cost.

We then issue the final service drawings (mechanical and electrical) for all interested parties (architect, builder and our relevant trades). We will discuss a proposed timetable to co-ordinate the project from start to finish.

INSTALLATION

Our experienced team will be in regular contact with you throughout the project and installation to keep you updated with our progress on site and our Project Manager is on hand to ensure the smooth running of the project. The installer will have an Installation Checklist form for you to sign when all the components of your bathroom, kitchen or wardrobe have been installed. There is also a Final Practical Completion form to be signed once any remedial or additional works have been completed.

Finally your will be sent a Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire which we invite you to complete and return in order for us to continue to improve our service.
